At Shane Holland Design Workshops, we were honoured when the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland chose us to be part of their Design Ireland retail showcase in the iconic London store of Heal's. This was as a result of the Ó exhibition at Tent London last September. This Ó exhibition was part of London Design Festival and showcased 30 Irish designers who work with glass, wood, ceramics, metal and textiles. This March the Irish are continuing to impress London with their craftsmanship and use of raw materials at the Heal's flagship store on the Tottenham Court Road.
This display is part of the Heal's Modern Craft Market and is the first group display of Irish design at the store since Kilkenny Design Workshops exhibited in 1972. We are thrilled to be part of this exciting project along with some of Ireland's most innovative designers, such as Catherine Keenan, Simon Doyle, and Ceadogán.
If you're in London over the next few weeks, be sure to pay a visit to Heal's where there will be live talks, in-store demonstrations, and workshops where you can ask the maker's any questions you have and find out more about their processes. Shane will be in London himself on the 16th and 17th of March if you want to discuss any of the products we have on display in store. We have a whole range of our stuff for you to choose from, from copper pendant lighting to modern sycamore pub stools.
